The Perfect curl
The perfect natural curl is one of the most difficult things to achieve with out using a curling iron or flat iron, hot rollers, wet sets or even perms. Most people don't understand that the products they use in there curly hair plays a big part in getting the natural perfect curl that they crave. Curly hair craves moisture in order to get that perfect smooth bouncy curl. So the products to use need to be professional products that are extremely hydrating and moisturizing for the hair and also protects you from the environmental problems that are inevitable with mother nature. The other steps to take is NOT to use a towel to dry your hair. A towel abrades the cuticle of the hair which disturbs the natural curl pattern and causes frizz. By using paper towels or an old t-shirt will stop the problem of disturbing the natural curl and also when drying your hair don't ring your hair out but try the keep your hair in a wet state not dripping wet but wet, then diffuse. while diffusing once the curl is achieved, DON'T TOUCH YOUR HAIR!!!! By constantly scrunching and playing with your hair after the desired curl is achieved will cause frizz and disturb the curl pattern. Try these tips and you will see a difference in your curly style.

Matrix Semi-Finalist Blog
Dreams and ambitions are things that i have had since I was a young boy. Growing up in a small town in North Carolina, the country life was all I knew so when I discovered fashion and beauty magazines, it was life changing! Breaking into the industry by observing family and friends do their hair and makeup and researching every aspect I could think of. Every time a commerical would come on regarding fashion or beauty , I would be glued to the television willing my brain to absorb all the new tends and fads. Through the years I became more and more motivated to start trying things out on my own so I would style the hair and apply the makeup for friends, always wanting to try something new and different. I even sat down in front of a sewing machine and taught myself how to design and make clothing! As you can tell, my love for fashion and beauty has just continued to grow and expand! I soon started trying to find a way to get myself noticed in the industry so I began to model at the age of sixteen, hoping that this would open a door, but evidently it wasn't my time to shine yet. At the age of twenty, I began looking into further education. I enrolled into Chris's Beauty College to pursue my passion and my future. Since my first day at Chris's Beauty College I knew that God was about to open doors for me that had previously remained shut, waiting on his perfect timing. Over time being in beauty school my passion for fashion and beauty became more in depth.
So you ask me, " Why do I want to be a part of Spread the Love"? Not only is spread the love an opportunity of a life time. The basic fundamentals and knowledge I will gain through Spread the Love will become the rock hard foundation for the life I hope to build for myself. I have had first hand life changing experiences ever since I've entered into the beauty industry. My passion in life is to be able to pas along my expericanes and the knowledge that I have learned to the world! Being a hairdresser to me is spreading the love. There is no greater gift in life than knowledge. The beauty industry has changed my life in a way that I will always be grateful for and I want nothing more then to share that feeling with everyone I meet. That's why from this journey I hope to get more education, but most of all I want to help to inspire others to follow their dreams, and help to educate them from what I have learned.

Nose Hair Waxing
Don't let your Nose Hair's get to this point !!!!
Nose Waxing is not as painful as it sounds. It's a great way to remove that unwanted noise hair that seems to grow back so fast with traditional hair removing techniques. Just like waxing any other parts of your body, using the wax hair removal process is long lasting and gives such an smooth clean result to hair removal. Most people like the fact that the hair does not grow back as fast as with normal removal and that they can breathe a lot better. To me it sounds like this technique is going to over power the old difficult ways like tweezing and using nose trimmers. Give it a try and see for yourself the benefit's that you will receive from this type of service.
OK! , So this is my experience with Nose Waxing. I was so nervous getting this service done just because the thought of it sounds painful. I can tell you personally that it does not hurt and that I can breathe better than ever. Go give it a try and see for yourself the experience and the benefit of breathing better.
Ombre
Ombre is a great technique of coloring hair that gives an incredible affect of two colors or more melting from one to the next. Ombreing is a great way to bring excitement to almost any hairstyle. Giving a signature of personality to your individual sense of style. Ombreing is not a difficult technique to achieve but, if not done properly the results are not going to come out to your clients or your satisfaction. But all is takes is practice and perfection will come.

Yesterday, i went to my locate mall to watch my good friend have her makeup done. Dior professional celebrity makeup artist Jonathan Adler is a very talented man that is incredible with makeup. To him applying makeup is an form of art. The experience was awesome and i learned a lot from just watching the application process. I hope to continue learning more from him in the future. False Lashes done by Nicholas Harmon aka Me!
Spring Fashion Show
For the third time I have helped to inspire some of Chris's Beauty College students to extend their horizons. Convincing them to be hairstylists for fashion shows held at our home town mall. Through this experience I have opened their eyes to a type of opportunity that the cosmetology field has to offer. The responses that I had received from my fellow students were that of thanks, gratitude, and smiles that reflected how great of a time they had. I hope that I've helped motivate them to reach their dreams of being in the industry of beauty. Not only that but, I hope they have begun to see how rewarding this amazing career can be.

Updos
Since I have been in school, I have noticed that I enjoy doing updos. Updos can be beautiful and elegant, but they do take some practice to manipulate properly. The outcome from all that practice shows an hairstyle extraordinary in beauty for any formal occasion.
Waterfall Braid
The waterfall braid is a beautiful braiding technique that adds a great focal point to almost any hairstyle. The final look is a loose braid that encorporates pieces of hair cascading down from the braid to give a fabulous waterfall effect. I have included a short video to demostrate how to manipulate this fantastic braiding technique. Give it a try, and enjoy!
Tip: Have the client hold the section of hair that falls from the braid.
Invisible Layers
"Invisible layers" is a simple technique used in haircutting that adds volume to a hairstyle without seeing "visible layering". This technique is simple to learn and achieve. Start by making rectangular sections on the top of the head, leaving the bang area out of the equation, if the hairstyle includes bangs. Follow by making three equal subsections within the rectangular section, then take each subsection and tease from the scalp to the ends of the hair, making the subsections stand straight up. Be sure that the teasing is really compacted from scalp to ends. Continue teasing the other two subsections, then trim hair located in the third of each subsection. Now carefully brush the teasing from each subsection and the invisible layering is complete!
NOTE: If the client's hair is too thick and it's hard to get a good tease within the subsections, section the three subsections into smaller subsections for ease of teasing.
